Polish Constitution Day / Poland on the Pier (May)
Each May, Chicago celebrates the anniversary of the signing of the Polish Constitution (the first modern Constitution in Europe!) with a parade along City’s beautiful lakefront. Since 2004, Integra has produced a celebratory concert following this important annual event for PACEI (Polish American Cultural and Educational Institute). While initially held at the Copernicus Center, the venue was changed to Chicago’s Navy Pier in 2006, launching the first official “Poland on the Pier!” This event, the first of its kind in Chicago, has proved a tremendous success. This year’s festival welcomed over 15,000 attendees and garnered significant attention from diverse media outlets.
“Poland on the Pier” features a full day of non-stop, family friendly entertainment, including exciting live performances by top Polish talent, exhibits of Polish art and photography and fashion, and a range of authentic culinary delights. Specially cultivated entertainment for the youngest guests includes art and theatre workshops, a soccer clinic with the Chicago Fire, and much more!.
Poland for Chicago (September)
Integra Communications was selected by the office of the President of Poland to produce an event commemorating the visit of the Honorable Lech Kaczynski to Chicago. On September 25th, 2007, nearly 10,000 people attended “Poland for Chicago” at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Following the Present of Poland’s public address, five of Poland’s most famous artists took stage, including: Andrzej “Piasek” Piaseczny, Piotr Szczepanik, Justyna Steczkowska, Jan Pietrzak, and Katarzyna Jamroz.
Numerous City/State officials and community leaders attended the event including Mayor Richard Daley who also addressed the audience. Major event sponsors were invited to a private VIP reception to meet with the Polish Head of State prior to the event.
“Poland for Chicago” also launched Polish Heritage Month and is the first of a series of events in October commemorating the Polish community’s 150-year role in Chicago’s history.
Melodies of the World: On April 21st, 2007
Chicago’s Gateway Theatre (located within the Copernicus Center), hosted a unique, collaborate celebration of world culture and song with Chicago’s “sister city” – Warsaw! In collaboration with Stoleczna Estrada, a principal cultural institution in Warsaw, Integra brought its internationally acclaimed program to its stage: “Melodies Of The World!” Showcasing the talent of four renowned Polish vocalists, alongside famed conductor Slawomir Chrzanowski and the Chicago Philharmonic, this prestigious event featured unique and up-beat arrangements of both classical and pop music from all corners of the world including Poland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, the United Kingdom and more!
In addition to production and promotion of the event, we secured sponsorship for our clients that garnered extensive pre / post event visibility in BOTH general and Polish market media. Event sponsors were also invited to an exclusive VIP reception following the event at the Chicago Cultural Center, featuring a special encore performance by the artists. Attendees included Polish dignitaries and City / State officials.
