Pulaski Day (March)
This official ceremony honors the great Revolutionary War hero, General Casmir Pulaski. Held annually at the Polish Museum of America in Chicago, the celebration receives extensive Polish and General market media interest. This important community event attracts many State and City Officials such as Mayor Richard Daley, Governor Rod Blagojevich and U.S. Senator Barack Obama.

A highlight of the day’s festivities includes the ‘Jewel-Osco Pulaski Day Scholarship’ check presentation. To date, Jewel-Osco has donated over $60,000 to deserving Polish American students through this and their Polish Heritage Day Scholarship program – both programs that our agency has initialized along with the Polish American Congress and the Polish American Cultural and Educational Institute.
